Graphic 45 is known for their unique vintage style, with bold deco patterns. You might think that you could only use vintage photos to create heritage layouts, but that is just not true. Today I am sharing a layout that I created using 2 recent photos of our daughter Zoe. This collection is beautiful and can be for any type of photo you choose. Zoe has just graduated high school and is heading to university in Montreal in the fall. Where has the time gone? These photos, taken by a a photographer friend of hers, show more than ever just how grown up, beautiful and independent she has become. We are so proud of her. This collection from Graphic 45 suits that sentiment perfectly. Happy Tuesday! Tracy McLennon here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog! Life In Color, what a great name for a collection…nicely played Simple Stories. That being said, I love the colours in this collection, so vibrant and rich. I have always loved earthy tones, I think it comes from the fact that I have a red tinge to my hair…pinks and purples just do not work for me. But since Sean and his beautiful girls came into my life, they have brought me an entire rainbow of colours I can now craft with! Now I’m living a Life In Color! Project Recipe: Simple Stories- Life In Color Collection –Β Patterned Papers, Cardstock Die Cuts, Stickers, Cardstock Stickers May Arts Ribbon- Yellow Burlap String Tombow Xtreme Adhesives tape runner Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock I love all of the bits and pieces available in this collection. Paintball Crazy: Splatter Layout and Card by Tracy McLennon Mixed Media, paints, sprays and mists are all the rage these days. I wanted to create a layout using sprays in a little different way. As I was experimenting and playing around with drips, splats and sprays I found exactly the look that I wanted for a very specific photo. βConfession: My father is an outdoorsman, and I learned to shoot as a child. I’m not into hunting. But…shoot people with PAINT?? Heck YES!β…

Hey guys, Tracy McLennon here! I’m back today with a project that I created using some really fun stuff from Art-CΒ and May Arts Ribbon. They offer so many great and innovative products that can be used for papercrafting, mixed media, home decor and on and on. My little project today is a small 6×6 shadowbox frame. This frame I made for myself, a photo from our wedding day, and sand from the beach we got married on. Shadow box frames can be precious keepsakes. They can also make beautiful gifts for the ones you love. Hello everyone – Tracy McLennon here! Today I am working with the La Vie En Rose collection from Close To My Heart. This collection has some great black and white patterns with hints of pinks and reds. They are so versatile! I chose to work with a photo of myself, from a little while ago. It just happened to be in black and white which is perfect with this collection. But remember, that is an option you can ALWAYS choose with your own photos when printing. That way you are never restricted by the colours in your photos when picking patterned papers to craft with.
