Hi there, Connie Nichol here with a scrapbook page featuring the CTMH Stuck on You stamps andΒ matchingΒ thin cuts metal dies. The Stuck on You sets are available in the CTMH seasonal catalogue, but only until April 30, so grab them now before they are gone forever. Β The stamps are so darn cute and the matching dies make it so easy to create a whole forest of cacti. Β Use them to make a lovely card, or embellish a scrapbook layout. Β The cacti are perfect for accenting any photos from a desert location, and I was lucky enough to travel to Phoenix for a few days last year. Β I might have taken a few (i.e. hundreds) of photographs at the Desert Botanical Garden when I was there. Β I was so happy to see this roadrunner. Β Such a neat looking bird. Β Unfortunately for me, the roadrunner song from Bugs Bunny and Wile E…
Hello Everyone; Kim here!Β Just wanted to share some fun cards and a tag I recently made using Art Impressions rubber stamps. It’s no secret among my creative friends that I have adored these whimsical stamps for some time. I LOVE them ALL! I used the same colour palette for all my projects, as well as Gesso and Crackle Paint on the tag. I applied the ink directly as well as over top of stencils. I literally just sat and played. My colouring was done with Distress Crayons. For my first card I simply used a stencil and ink for the background design; on white CSM Superstock. I used an Elizabeth Craft Design’s circle die for my image and mat, added some ink to the edges and a bit of sewing. I adhered my background on some Core’dinations cardstock after sanding it a bit to create more texture. A little bow…

Whooooooβs Sooooo Cute??!! By Cathie Allan I am so excited to share with you this layout that is a direct result of me working with Creative Scrapbooker Magazine on their βTechnique Tasterβs Showβ that is broadcast by Shaw Television and then becomes part of the βlibrary of web showsβ that Creative Scrapbooker Magazine has. SUPPLIES: Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock, Clearsnap pigment ink, Art Screen, embossing powder, stylus and white foam tip, Art Impressions stamps and dies, May Arts ribbon, Tombow Dual Brush pens, Sizzix dies, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. My series of shows was a set of 3 different segments that you will get to see in just a few months. For each segment, I created a project where I stepped out some very fun and inky backgrounds that I believe you are going to love. I kept them easy and βcolorfulβ and you will be able to use these…
#imbringingbirthdaysback Itβs a movement. A movement supported by Shannon West and Stampinβ Up! A movement to make sure that people feel the love on their birthdays with handmade cards. It seems to be a perfect match for me. And certainly I donβt need another excuse to create a card. When Stampinβ Up! released the 2016 Occasions catalogue, I knew that I needed the Balloon Bouquet punch but I didnβt take it out of the package until nowβ¦ and now I canβt stop playing with them. There are two balloon sizes in this punch. In addition, thereβs an even smaller balloon punch with the Party Punch pack. I mean, reallyβ¦ these balloons will never get old. To create this card, I heat embossed several gold balloons from the Balloon Celebration stamp set on watercolour paper. Using my Stampinβ Up! markers and an Aquapainter, I coloured the balloons. After punching them out,…

Hello Creative Scrapbookers! Kim Gowdy here with a simple but fun idea, that we have visited before. I often like to find ways to bring trends into the stash I already have if possible. There is no denying that adult colouring is a huge trend! Here is my twist from my own scrapbook stash. I made these cards by stamping images from my Impression Obsession stamps onto CoreβdinationsΒ Glitter Paper. Use a multi-surface ink like ClearsnapΒ ColorBox Chalk Inks, I used Charcoal. Let it dryβ¦it WILL take longer than on regular paperβ¦be patient. Once itβs dry I grabbed my Chameleon Pens and coloured awayβ¦it was so fun! The alcohol inks flowed beautifully on the glitter paper and dried very quickly. Here is a third quick card I made while I had the glitter cardstock out. I took the arrows from this Stampin’ Up/Sizzix die set and cut them out of the…
Hi ALL! Kim Gowdy here with a quick card share! Trying to get my head out of winter; so Iβve had fun creating a card, using this leaf stamp and sentiment stamp from Magenta. The card kind of reminds me of a tropical destination [NOT on my calendar] and warms my winter heart. All of the colour applied to the card was done with Sakuraβs CRAY-PAS oil pastels and some yellow was added to the background with Sakuraβs Koi watercolor brush pens. The oil pastels were quite fun to play with. They layer and blend so smoothly. I added a few colours and used a piece of paper towel on my finger to blend and kept layering until I was happyβ¦SO EASY. The colors are soft yet vibrantβ¦I look forward to more creative time with them. Have a CREATIVE day!
Happy New Years everyone – Cathy Caines here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! Tomorrow is a big day for Stampinβ Up! as we are launching the new Occasions Catalog. This 50-page catalog supplements the annual catalog that is released every year in June. I canβt wait to show you the beautiful products! Iβve been playing with the new Rose Wonder thinlets, as well as the Large Number Framelits along with the coordinating stamp set. In the card above youβll notice the beautiful serif numbers. The stamp set has a watercolour feel, as well as a lovely banner. Check out the mini balloons β oh yes, there are a couple balloon punches in this catalog! Typically when I finally decide to pull out my big shot (I am a lazy scrapbooker), it means that I am going to do more than…
