Hello everyone, Cathy Caines here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. We must celebrate! Indeed we do! We have many things to celebrate including the carry over of the Celebrate You Thinlet Dies into the 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. Since it’s introduction in the Sale-a-Bration catalog, I have made too many projects to count with these thinlet dies. When I heard they would carry over I was over the moon!Today’s projects were created combining the Celebrate You Thinlet Dies as well as the sans serif sentiments of the We Must Celebrate Stamp Set from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog. I love mixing and matching different stamps and dies.To create the above card, you must first make the multi-colored background.  With your Aqua Painter, dip each colour into the refill ink one by one resulting in a multi-colored wash. I would recommend drying each colour with a Heat Tool…

Good morning and happy Monday! Kim here with a quick birthday card share today! This month I challenged myself to use the April Sketchy Challenge as a starting point for a card. Even before choosing my products, I knew I wanted to make the triangle accent from stamps! I created a paper mask from my Impression Obsession stamped image so I could easily overlap my stamped design making it look like one continuous image – I love how it turned out! I took a black marker and ruler to divide the two sides. I created three layered areas using stamps, stencil and Clearsnap Chalk ink! I fussy cut the bird image and layered it with the Impression Obsession die cut pine boughs and a little black tread. The “Happy Birthday” sentiment was a perfect finishing touch! Thanks for taking the time to check out my card, try one of our…

Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! Winter has definitely hit the west coast of Canada this week and we even ended up with a white Christmas. With the cold weather here, I decided to create a winter note card . For my note card, I’ve used a variety of products from Emerald Creek Craft Supplies, dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs, Super Stock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine, some adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L as well as a few products from Ranger Ink, to create this fabulous Warmest Wishes winter note card. To start, cut a piece of Super Stock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine that measures 3 3/4” x 3 3/4”. Using a blending tool with foam as well as Broken China Distress Ink and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink from Ranger Ink, blend the inks over the entire surface of the cardstock. With the ink dry, dab a bit of Brushed Pewter Distress…

Deck the Halls with Christmas Sweaters by Cathy Caines The holiday season is upon us and I am in full swing. I am so ready for the magic of Christmas and all the simple joys it brings as I enjoy the wonder of the season through the eyes of my children Jane (7) and Jack (5). I am wishing you and your families the very best this holiday season – from my family to yours. About a month ago Stampin’ Up! released their new line of alcohol markers called Stampin’ Blends. Ever since the release, I have been coloring just about everything. However, the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Sweaters stamp set is by far my favourite. The markers seem to bring the sweaters to life. Before making any projects, I coloured several of the images while catching up on The Americans TV show. Once I found myself back in my craft room,…

Hello everyone! Kim here with a spotlight on Echo Park Paper Co.! I love being able to share my love of great companies with you here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine’s blog! Let’s do this!
