Welcome to the  Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog today.  Its Karan Gerber and I thought I would share a Christmas Card with you using some products from Heartfelt Creations My card is designed using the O Holy Night collection which was released last month. The mini poinsettias and leaves along with that delicate holly branch are from last year, but still one of my favorites go-to’s when doing Christmas Cards. So let’s get started. First, we will need to cut our papers, the card base is a 6×12 folded in half; the dark green is 5.75 x 5.75.  I like the border the white automatically creates, if you prefer to have the green go to the full 6×6, that would look lovely too. The red is 5.25 x 5.25 and the wood looking paper is cut from the reverse of the center of this one and measures 5×5. Using the Ornament Die set from Heartfelt;…

HI Friends, and welcome to the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Blog today.  Today it is Karan hosting the blog and i have a tag to share with you using products from 49 and Market – CLICK HERE  One of my most favorite techniques to do on tags is the “smooshing” technique and I did that and created my background here on the tag below. Tags are perfect to attach to gift bags; to a layout, they are just as easy to create as a card and you can have lots of fun creating them.   Here are some detail images of the tag: Here are some steps to get you started: 1. Using Canson watercolor paper, cut a piece measuring approximately 3.75 x 6. Banner cut the top.  I like to place blue tape on the edges of my tags so that I end up with a clean white edge when I’m done…

Its Karan Gerber here to host the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog and today, I am sharing a brick wall inspired layout with you.  This is my first time creating a layout on the blog, normally I do cards.  Today I wanted to share some of my mixed media tips using products from Art Anthology.   I am fortunate to be a member of their design team for this term and I wanted to share some tips with you.  I am also blending in stamps and dies along with some border dies from Heartfelt Creations. One of the things I love about the stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations is how versatile they are and you can use the flower dies on any project. On this layout I used a sheet of white cardstock, gave it a coat of gesso.  I then used a brick template from Want 2 Scrap and used texture paste…

Welcome to my last post for 2017. It is Karan Gerber here to host the blog for one last time for 2017.   It just so happens that my last post for the year ends up on New Year’s Eve and today I am sharing with you a card using some fabulous stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations. I incorporated paper from the Blazing Poppy paper collection   to create this card and used inks from Ranger and Clearsnap ColorBox. Here is a peek at my card I put together for you today: I wanted my sunflowers to look festive so I colored my flowers using Rose coral chalk ink from ColorBox and used Aged Mahogany on the tips The card base size is a 8.5 x 11 piece of card folded in half I cut two papers from the collection for the base and I distress them, I searched for a A2 panel…

Hello Friends and welcome to the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog today. My name is Karan Gerber and I am thrilled to be here with you today sharing my first post. School for many started back this past week and with that, I am reminded that fall is right around the corner. What I most love about fall is the cooler temps; harvest season and the bright bold colors of the gorgeous Sunflower. Did you know that Sunflowers symbolize adoration, loyalty and longevity? This is one reason it makes them one of my favorite flowers to create with the long list of stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations. So let’s get on with the “You are my Sunshine” Card I created for my first post here. I used the papers, stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations. The card base measures 7.5 x 5.5 on black cardstock. I cut one piece from…
