Slice of Summer with Creative Memories

Hi everyone Noreen Smith once again playing with Creative Memories! Happy to be back on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog today sharing a couple of layouts made with Creative Memories’ new Slice of Summer seasonal products! As soon as I saw the papers, stickers and variety mat pack for this collection I knew it would work for lots of fun summer photos.For the first layout I chose several photos of my family at the beach last year in Osoyoos, British Columbia. The photos are not the best, as the sun was behind my sons as they stood in the lake, but I wanted to use them to remember the lovely, relaxing holiday that we had. I figured that cropping them down would help, so I chose the best photo to leave as the largest (4” x 4”), then trimmed down the supporting photos to 3” x 3”. I matted all…

Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! Summer holidays are almost here and I’m sure that many of you will be vacationing over the summer holidays at Disneyland with your family. So why not start by preparing some scrapbook layouts for your Disney vacation before you leave. Or if you already have those Disneyland photos to scrapbook, I hope that my Scrapbook Layout will inspire you to scrapbook those photos. Using the Magic and Wonder Collection Kit from Echo Park some adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Runner Grand tape runner as well as a few products from Ranger Ink, I was able to create my Magical Fun scrapbook layout. What do you get when you give three designers – the exact same products from the MultiCraft Forever in Time collection? You get three completely different looks! I LOVE IT! Each designer started out with a variety of products from the MultiCraft Forever in Time collection including the following Chalk Classic paper pad Champagne bling sticker sheet Two sets of stamps – Butterfly Fancy and Sunshine Daisy Other MultiCraft Forever in Time products included was a set of gold foil alphabet and black cardstock They could add a few elements from some of their own stash. I’ve been involved in doing something to raise awareness for the past 10 years, I’m really excited to be here with you and broaden the scope! I also need to check myself again this month because on my last mammogram the radiologist detected something she wants to closely monitor because of my family history. Autumn Memories with Bo Bunny

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a layout featuring Bo Bunny, Elizabeth Craft Designs Way with Words dies and a Quietfire Design stamp. This layout was inspired by the September sketch in the Creative Scrapbooker Sketchy Challenge. It turned out looking nothing like the sketch, but hey. That’s the creative process. Our readers and design team were asked to create a layout inspired by one of his books. Here is Christy’s contribution to the article. This layout features her daughter Ashley. Here is a layout I found in the CSM archives Christy created years ago. Christy created this layout for a feature we were going to run many years ago about our CS Team’s individual scrapbooking spaces. It was one of those features that didn’t fly. The layouts were archived for a rainy day. We never wrote down the supplies that Christy used to create this layout. One thing is for certain – Christy loved her art studio. So did we! Here is a blog post from Christy from a few years ago for you to enjoy. Written in Christy’s words. The other day I was working on this layout with the fabulous paper and embellishments from FarmHouse Paper company and May Arts ribbon and I really felt like the beautiful rustic quality needed to be accented and off set with a little glitter. Perplexed with how to add it, I decided not to over think it and grabbed my trusty Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L tape runner and added stripes of the tape runner over the paper. I then poured Craft& Glitz Glamour Glitter all over the tape and burnished it with my finger. I poured off the excess glitter and my paper was ready to build my layout on top off. The glittery stripes add a great level of texture and interest. This simple technique, done with a versatile adhesive…
