Hello everyone – Christy Riopel here! I love Core’dinations ColorCore pre-embossed cardstock. It makes a great base for a mixed media technique page. I started by dry brushing gesso over the entire surface of the teal paper. Donβt add water as that may lessen the embossing a bit. I then added Clearsnap ColorBox dye ink to the raised surfaces by directly rubbing the ink pad on them. I love the how antique the finished look is. I used Core’dinations ColorCore die cuts on the page as some of the many layers I have under my photo. Supply list: Core’dinations ColorCoreΒ paper and die cuts, May Arts Ribbon, paper doily, gesso, Clearsnap ColorBox dye ink, Marvy pen, Beacon Adhesive, Photo by Allison Orthner. Have a wonderful Monday everyone! To see more of Christy’s work – visit her blog – Creating a Life I Love to Share
Hello everyone! Β It’s Kelly here to share with you a fun Valentine card I designed using DCWV’s new Vintage Collector line. Here are the DCWV products that I used: These new DCWV cards make it so quick and easy to customize your own designs. I started with the card base and then added to the interior. I trimmed this piece of paper from the mat stack to fit inside. I chose this “Love” label from the Vintage Collector Tag Stack and added a piece of May Arts ribbon.. ThenΒ I decided to make a pocket for it using the matching Vintage Collector card stock. I drew faux stitching with a ruler around the pocket edges. I cut out the [heart] U image from a piece of paper in the Vintage Collector Mat Stack and adhered it to the centre of the pocket. And that is that! Β Pretty easy! Now…

Hi everyone! Jodi Wilton here today to share with you a Holiday Layout I made using one of my favourite Dies from Spellbinders & The fun holiday Collection by Simple Stories: December Documented: I used this Spellbinders die set all the time to make banners in different styles; but today I wanted to share a layout using this die in a whole new way! Triangles are a hot new trend on layouts, so I decided to make a pattern with the medium sized pennant (it would work for any size if you wish!). I used the Basics Kit from the Simple Stories collection to create a pattern that ran the length of my page: Next I added some strips of paper, followed by some May Arts ribbon between the strips of paper and photos. I also used some May Arts ribbon as string for my chipboard ornaments. To…
We Were Framed, Honest! Last summer we picked up a big frame from the local thrift shop and drug it around to various places to use in photographs. This is one of our favourites of our daughter and nephew at the lake. SUPPLIES: Pink Paislee patterned paper, stickers and chipboard, Magenta Stamp, Clearsnap ink, The Crafter’s Workshop stencils, Bazzill Basics Paper cardstock, May Arts ribbon, white gel pen, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. I used the Pink Paislee – Hey Kid collection For the background I used one of our my favourite stamps from Magenta To create the background, I sprayed Clearsnapβs smooch spritz through a couple of The Crafterβs Workshop templates, and then smeared the inky side of the template onto the paper. You canβt see the patterns, but it gave the mottled and messy effect I was looking for. I then used some Chalk ink on Magentaβs dotty…

Imagine, Explore, Play by Jayme Loge I recently got my hands on some new DCWV stacks and fell in love (LOVE!) with the βVintage Collectorβ line. It is perfect for my girly-girl with wild hair and something askew child- pretty with a touch of shabby!. As soon as I saw the papers I knew they would work with some photos we took at the lake. Sketch books in hand, we took a long walk down the weedy beach. The photos are some of my very favorites ever! Β I look at them and I can hear her contentedly humming as she picked flowers, checked out snail shells and danced a story for all creation on an abandoned dock. How I love that girlβ¦ Supplies Used: DCWV patterned paper, May Arts Ribbon, Clearsnap ink and embossing powder, Bazzill Basics cardstock, Sizzix die, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. I pulled out some of…
