Hello from me…Kim Gowdy! I am back into routine after a wonderful holiday with my family. I LOVE time off work, it gives me time to relax and lets the stress leave my body! My shoulders start to loosen and drop, my brain wonders away from work things and I get to reconnect with my family! Another thing that happens is my creative self grows. Sometimes I find my scrapbook layouts reflect daily life…when routine is rigid, my pages are also. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but I really love when I let myself ย be more free. This page I feel is a result of holidays. I just had fun placing embellishments kind of randomly, adding some ink splotches and stitching…I really like the feel! I kept my supplies simple using only patterned paper from one line: Fancy Pants Nautical Collection. A little ribbon from May Artsย Ribbon and…

Happy July 1st everyone!ย  Connie Nichol here with a patriotic red and white Canada Day layout.ย  I was briefly tempted to use non-traditional colours, but just couldn’t do it.ย  LOL I used the July Canadian Scrapbooker sketchy challenge sketch as a starting point.ย  It looks like this: I decided to start with a base of Core’Dinations Spotted cardstock.ย  It looks so lovely and textured, especially when you sand a tiny bit off of the top. The other day I saw that Rhonda Steed had some free Canada day printables up on her blog (hot link www.rhondasteed.com) and I was totally inspired to use a couple of these project life typecards as part of my layout. Then, instead of reaching for patterned paper strips to follow the July sketch, I decided to use a variety of May Arts ribbon.ย  Sometimes ribbon is a pain to adhere to a layout, especially skinny…

Hi everyone! Jodi Wilton here today to share with you a quick card made with FabScraps & Spellbinders!ย  I put these two together because I thought FabScraps, would be a perfect match for the Spellbinders Shapeabilities- Asian Motifs: I started off by cutting a black cardstock base and adding some FabScraps paper, just inside the base. I sewed around the FabScraps paper for some extra detail. I then used the largest die from the Spellbinders Asian Motif with some FabScraps paper, and layered a square to fit just inside it. (I also sewed around this square for extra detail). Finally the Romantic Travelย  Die Cut book is awesome! I usedย  a luggage tag and added a bit of paper in it and sewed around the luggage tag. I alsoย  got out a FabScraps butterfly Chipboard to add to the card. The next step was to adhere the layers…

Kim Gowdy here! Hope everyone is having a great April! I have to say when I was given this week as my Tuesday with the Team date; I was just a little excited. You see, itโ€™s the last one before Easter, so it lets me have an Easter theme! I have been stalking SVG sites lately and really wanted an excuse to buy one from SVGcuts. They have the most awesome collections and as I have discovered, if you take the time to open and read the pdf file that comes with the purchase, you will find the recommended height or width for each file. You have seen us play a fair amount with the Brother ScanNCut. I love that you can use the online program; ScanNCutCanvas, to upload SVG files to cut. There is a learning curve to this and any new software, but itโ€™s pretty easy to use.…

Desiree Saskiw here! Iย must admit that I had taken a stamping hiatus for some time, but this fun Magenta โ€œSavvy Symbolsโ€ stamp set inspired me to pull of the ink and embossing powders and get to work! I have always been drawn to using circles as part of my paper creations so this birthday card was no exception. I enjoyed the contrast that was created between the use soft lines in the circles and hearts, with the straight lines of the arrows. The number stamps were a fun addition; counting up to the Happy 10th birthday for my niece Jaeanna! SUPPLIES: Magenta stamps, Clearsnap ink, DCWV patterned paper, May Arts Ribbon, Stampin’ Up! embossing powder, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D foam squares and tape runner. Happy Stamping

I am a big fan of โ€œfussy cuttingโ€ and paper layering so the Coreโ€™dinations ColorCore cardstock was the perfect choice for this project. I created texture on the papers with the Sizzix template and then sanded the paper to really make the pattern stand out. I love sanding the papers and the seeing the two-tone effect because it adds a rustic, roughness that is perfect for scrapbooking my boys. SUPPLIES: Core’dinations ColorCore cardstock, graphic 45 patterned paper, chipboard and alphabet stickers, Sizzix dies and embossing folder, May Arts Ribbon, Gesso, Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry Liquid glue. Thanks for looking
