The Momenta booth is a happy place, with fresh packaging and pretty displays filled with paper, dies, stickers, stamps, stencils, and other paper crafting products. The Momenta stencils are all self-adhesive, which is awesome for those messy mixed media projects! There is also a line of stencils designed for fabric and similar applications, like t-shirts. Paper crafters will love the 3D gift box kits! Party and home decor items are also available. The packs of both card stock and patterned paper are wonderful! The Momenta line includes stickers…a HUGE assortment of stickers, which the ‘planner’ people will love too! There are 2 lines of paint: chalk and acrylic with every colour of the rainbow! The other side of the booth housed Art-C, a sister company of Momenta.ย Mixed media lovers will be in heaven! One of the most popular tools is the Groove Tool, a hand-held, battery operated device with…
Hello Everyone!ย It’s Kelly Klapstein, and I’m so excited to share with you a whole bunch of goodness we saw at the Craft and Hobby Association trade show (CHA) in Anaheim last weekend. Our first day had an early start, but it seems easier to wake up and head out when there are palm trees along the way. The first booth I will take you inside is BoBunny, which is always a happy and colourful experience. There are new collections, and this bright release is called “Believe.” The popularity of faith-based crafting is continuing, and BoBunny has produced a wonderful paper line with complementary stamps, dies, die cuts, etc. A new product released for each collection are 12 x 12 vellum printed sheets. Beach Therapy is another collection that will help you scrapbook your tropical adventures and warm holidays. Toy Box is the perfect collection for those cute childhood scrapbooking…
Faux Watercolour Loveliness and Pigment Ink Oh, the wonders, versatility and unending twisted ways I can play with pigment ink. I am sharing with you an altered page that is a โjump offโ from a class that I taught at CHA in Anaheim in the Clearsnap booth. The class was presented as a shape card but of course what was most important was โnot the projectโ but the ideas and the techniques we used to take white cardstock and turn it into something โmarvelousโ. Yes, this was white cardstock when I began and those lovely, wispy, very watercolor looking branches in the background have been stamped with ColorBox, pigment ink by Clearsnap. Yes, I am combining my pigment ink with โTop Bossโ clear embossing ink so the stamped images have that โwatercolor feelโ. At times as I am creating this look it is almost like I am erasing the image…

Hello everyone let me introduce myself, Iโm Nicole Wright. Iโm new to the Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine Team and Iโm thrilled to be creating for you.ย I love all things vintage, grungy especially creating 3D Projects.ย I love using my collection of Sizzix dies so youโll be seeing a lot of that from me.ย For my first project for Tuesday with the Team I decided to create something to honor Remembrance Day. I started with Sizzix Jumbo Tattered Floral for the Poppy creating 4 flowers for a full Poppy. Then I grabbed my Magenta Nuance Powders.ย This is my first time using them and WOWโฆa little goes a long way!ย Using a dry paint brush a couple flicks of powder onto watercolor paper and spritz with water. The Magenta Nuance give a bold vibrant look to this Poppy! I used my heat gun to dry the flowers.ย To create the…
Today on our blog we welcome Stephanie Hart, an artistic crafter from the East coast. Hi Everyone! My name is Stephanie Hart and I live just outside of Halifax, Nova Scotia with my wonderful husband, two amazing step sons and six cats! Yes, you read that correctly! Six! I prefer the term “Creative Cat Lady”, and this is explains why I chose the domain for my personal blog: www.thecreativecatlady.com I’ve been scrapbooking since 2008, and I fell pretty hard for the hobby. Scrapbooking is my main love, but I also like to make jewelry (beading and silver Metal Clay), polymer Clay, pet photography, watercolors and mixed media. Some of my Polymer Clay embellishments have even been featured on the cover of Canadian Scrapbooker (Fall 2009), and I will always remember the moment when I spotted one of my little mushrooms on the main display at the Chapters Books Store. Ever…
Today on our blog we welcome Marjolaine Walker who has some beautiful Bible journaling pages to show you! Hello creative friends, I’m so pleased to be here today sharing my journey into bible journaling! I first took notice of people colouring in their bibles a little over a year ago. I loved the idea at the time but was not ready to commit to it just yet. I have a habit of jumping into new things and then abandoning them which ends up being a waste of money and time. To be sure that I would be committed to this new adventure, I started doodling in a bible that I already owned, slowly getting braver as I experimented on each page. After a long while I purchased a wide margin bible and dove right in. There’s a certain style of bible journaling that I absolutely love. It’s where…
Welcome to our guest blogger, Laurie Finch, who is sharing her love of Pocket Letters! Today I wanted to tell you about my newest obsession โ Pocket Letters! And specifically, mixed media pocket letters. Have you seen these? Little trading card sized pockets of creative fun, sent around the world through a network of like-minded artists. You craft cards to fit in the nine pockets of a trading card protector sheet, slip some extra crafting goodies and a nice, chatty letter in the back and it folds neatly in 3 and fits in a standard business size envelope for mailing. I love this idea! Itโs like combining all the best parts of penpals, papercrafting, RAK (random acts of kindness) and art work in one! So letโs get started! I taped an 8 x 11โ piece of heavyweight watercolour paper to my work surface so that the wet mediums donโt make…
