Hello! Kim here with some Llama Llove! I shared this little tag on our Instagram Story a few weeks back and thought ย I could show you how easy it was to put together! Let’s Go! STEP BY STEP LLAMA LOVE TAG: Thanks for checking into the blog today, hope this project inspires you to try some masking! For more inspiration, get your hands on the latest, summer issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine!

Hi, Connie Nichol here this morning with a couple of projects that recycle sewing patterns.ย  If you’ve seen the Summer Issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine, you’ll know I wrote a whole article on this topic.ย  Be sure to grab the magazine if you want a whole bunch of other ideas.ย  ย Among other things, the patterned tissue paper from old sewing patterns makes a great background for cards and scrapbook layouts. Here’s one of the cards I made.ย  Quick and simple and I think a perfect masculine birthday card.ย  Adhere a layer of a recycled sewing pattern to a piece of white cardstock using gel medium.ย  A gel medium is simply a binder without pigment that comes in various thicknesses, sheens, and transparencies.ย  I like the Dina Wakely matte gel medium from Ranger.ย  ย Just use a sponge brush or paint brush to apply gel medium to the base layer of cardstock…

Good โ€œalmostโ€ Valentineโ€™s Day to you all. Creating a message of love for someone that is dear to you takes that message to an entirely new level. Your message becomes a keepsake that your loved one will treasure for many years to come and possibly if your loved ones are like my husband โ€ฆ. itโ€™ll be cherished forever! You can spend hours on a handmade card or you can use extraordinary products to make it look like you spent hours.ย  โ€œPainting with glitterโ€ is a simple, fun technique that always takes a card to the next level. You can do the whole card as a โ€œglitter paintingโ€ OR you can simply add a glitter, painted embellishment. In the spring issue of โ€œCanadian Scrapbookerโ€ 2011 I shared this technique in my โ€œItโ€™s All About Rubberโ€ article. Since then our publication has gone international and therefore the name of this wonderful magazine…

Hello, 2019 and a new year filled with opportunities and new beginnings! January is a month where we naturally think about new goals and what we want to achieve in the coming year. For me, Iโ€™d like to slow down in 2019. But what does that mean? Iโ€™ve had to think about the ways in which I can make that happen like device-free time, enjoying the outside more often and finding time to read. I love the process of evaluating goals so be sure to make time for yourself to do the same. Stampinโ€™ Up! has a monthly subscription called Paper Pumpkin where you are sent everything you need to create a crafty project. These are great especially when you are going on vacation or the cabin. You can grab it and go! Thatโ€™s exactly what I did while vacationing in Florida this Holiday Season. Below is a picture of…

Hello and good day! Kim here on the blog with another fun card using a fun stamp set from Art Impressions! You can never have enough birthday cards on hand, so thatโ€™s what I have to share today! Art Impressions has so many wonderful stamps; and although they have a gorgeous series of watercolor stamps, and animal characters, I am personally drawn to the cheeky humour of people stamps! They always seem to have the perfect quote to go along with the perfect imageโ€ฆand they ALWAYS make me laugh! Without further delay, letโ€™s peek at the birthday card I made to share! It was such a fun card to make and actually quite quick to make. Here is a look at the process! My Color Box pigment inks from ClearSnap, my Chameleon pens and my circle dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs all worked seamlessly together with the Art Impressions stamp…

Hello everyone! Cathie Allan here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Today, I thought I would share the Make-n-Take, from an event I did with Katharina in Chantilly, Virginia. First I will tell you this was an exceptional event. If you are a paper crafter of any kind you will want to be at their next event.ย  So many booths, vendors, door prizes, a huge crop and more. Creative Scrapbooker Magazine was there and we met so very many amazing paper crafters, made new friends and shared ideas. Here is the 10-minute make-n-take that the participants did in our booth. We had so much fun creating these speedy little tags, sharing ideas, laughing and giggling together. Once I got home, I took the same ideas and created more tags and a scrapbook page. Yes, I added embellishments from MultiCraft because โ€œwhy notโ€, lol. This was a quick idea that…

โ€œBe Your Own Kind of Beautiful.โ€ Yes, please! Hello everyone, Cathy Caines here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. When I saw this sentiment in the Stampinโ€™ Up! Artfully Folded stamp set, I knew I wanted to include it in todayโ€™s project. Lately, it seems like that is an anthem in my little world. You want to have blue hair? Sure. You want to wear your Mario shirt and pants every day. Okay. Oh, you want to wear your pants inside out. Well, fine. The Stampinโ€™ Up! 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue was released on Friday introducing another wave of beautiful products. This stamp set along with others are set to help inspire you to create. Thatโ€™s it. Just create. So, letโ€™s do this.To create todayโ€™s project I had to first mix Prussian Blue Brusho with white Stampinโ€™ Up! Embossing Paste. Typically I take out some of the paste using a…

Hey there everyone! Cathie Allan here today sharing with you one of my articles from the Summer 2016 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine – Creating Faux Mini-Canvases. I know you are going to LOVE IT! Faux Mini-Canvases by Cathie Allan In this issue, we are going to create โ€œfaux mini-canvases.โ€ This special combination of background colours and the way we apply the ink layer after layer will totally have you thinking that we worked on canvas. In reality, we have simply worked on Creative Scrapbooker Super Stockโ€”the cardstock of my inking and rubber stamping dreams. We are using pigment inkโ€”the most light-fast stamping medium there isโ€”so you will be able to enjoy them for a long, long time. I invite you to use the techniques we are stepping out for you today on your favourite craft projectโ€”a card, a scrapbook page, a knock-out art journal page or any crafting project…

I know you ALL had an amazing time as the smiles were countless and the laughter sometimes deafening! I know you did some GREAT stamping and paper crafting because I saw the floor after you were all done !!! For those of you who did not make it โ€ฆ. MAKE IT ย NEXT YEAR!! You WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. For myself, I was busy sharing ideas and fun stamping & inking techniques the whole weekend, through classes and demos.ย  I demo in the Creative Scrapbooking Magazine booth of course and while I โ€œplayโ€, I am blessed to spend time with amazing paper crafters who simply love to take a stamp to paper, creating cards, scrapbook pages, art journals…

Hey crafty peepsโ€ฆ Nicole here and I get to share this fun tutorial on ย Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. Hey crafty peepsโ€ฆ Nicole here and I get to share this fun tutorial on ย Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. ย I am thrilled to be a Guest Designer for Ranger with all these vibrant Mini Archival Inks and stretch beyond Jet Black. This tutorial is an experiment for me and I love the results the Mini Archival Inks create.ย  These crisp colors provide a detailed stamped image allowing versatility even when watercoloring. The Mini Archival Inks are just the right size for adding ink in select areas of the rubber stamps.ย  Allowing me to ink and build each stamped image.ย  Each ink is easily cleaned off the Archival Cleaner. Dry your stamp with some paper towel then add more color to the leaves and petals cleaning between. The new Tonic Stamp Platform was the perfect tool to…
