Every year Stampin’ Up! has a promotion during the months of January through March called Sale-a-Bration.  Sale-a-Bration gives a chance to customers to receive exclusive products with every $60 qualifying order. Party Pandas just so happens to be one of my favourite exclusive items from this year’s promotion. You’ve got less than one month to try to snag these perfect little Party Pandas stamp set. Both of today’s projects begins with a small piece of watercolour paper. Using an aqua painter or water brush, I did a background wash with Calypso Coral refill ink. You can also create a watercolour wash using ink pads, markers and paint. While the ink dried on it’s own, I stamped several of the Party Pandas on Thick Whisper White cardstock using Stampin’ Up!’s Black Archival Ink and coloured them with Stampin’ Up! Blends Markers. After cutting out my pandas by hand, I arranged them around the…

Hi everyone, Cathie Allan here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog, with a few, bright, spring projects. SPRING is just around the corner and with the days getting longer , the sun shining brighter I just NEEDED to play with some fun bright colors from Clearsnap and some “spring like” images from Stampendous. I did not know what I wanted to create so I created 3 projects thinking I would share with you my favorite. Well … I could not decide which one was “my favorite” so I am sharing all 3 projects with you. I have photographed each project separately and posted those photos at the end of this blog.It all began with these rubber stamp images from Stampendous, plus a gorgeous new metal stencil.Media of choice was my Pinwheel Petal Point and re-inkers from Clearsnap, my ColorBox stylus and foam tips and a ColorBox black pigment stamp pad…

Welcome to my last post for 2017. It is Karan Gerber here to host the blog for one last time for 2017.   It just so happens that my last post for the year ends up on New Year’s Eve and today I am sharing with you a card using some fabulous stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations. I incorporated paper from the Blazing Poppy paper collection   to create this card and used inks from Ranger and Clearsnap ColorBox. Here is a peek at my card I put together for you today: I wanted my sunflowers to look festive so I colored my flowers using Rose coral chalk ink from ColorBox and used Aged Mahogany on the tips The card base size is a 8.5 x 11 piece of card folded in half I cut two papers from the collection for the base and I distress them, I searched for a A2 panel…

Hello everyone!  Karen Ellis here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog today.  For my turn on Tuesday’s with the Team, I am happy to share with you a project close to my heart – cards of thanks and remembrance. Some of you may know that I am a reservist member of the Canadian Forces- CIC Branch.  I work with our youth Cadet Program.  This time of year is very special to me.  I am honoured to wear the uniform and support our country’s youth. Last month I attended ScrapFest at the CreativFestival in Toronto with the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine.  It was a fabulous event that had not only some wonderful paper crafting vendors, but sewing and needlework vendors as well.   One of the booths there represented Quilts of Valour – Canada Society.  This is a great organization that provides quilts to Canada’s injured forces members.  I have provided this organization…

Hey crafty peeps… Nicole here and I get to share this fun tutorial on  Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. Hey crafty peeps… Nicole here and I get to share this fun tutorial on  Creative Scrapbooker Magazine.  I am thrilled to be a Guest Designer for Ranger with all these vibrant Mini Archival Inks and stretch beyond Jet Black. This tutorial is an experiment for me and I love the results the Mini Archival Inks create.  These crisp colors provide a detailed stamped image allowing versatility even when watercoloring. The Mini Archival Inks are just the right size for adding ink in select areas of the rubber stamps.  Allowing me to ink and build each stamped image.  Each ink is easily cleaned off the Archival Cleaner. Dry your stamp with some paper towel then add more color to the leaves and petals cleaning between. The new Tonic Stamp Platform was the perfect tool to…

Hello Everyone – Cathy Caines here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. It’s the time of year when we say goodbye to summer. But in my teens, it also meant that I was saying goodbye to my friends and family as I set off to begin another school year away from home. It’s always hard to leave and for anyone going through their first year, it’s especially tough. If I am speaking to you – you got this.  Sure, you’ll be poor and stressed out but everyone around you will be in the same boat.  Tap into those around you and try hard to work on finding your true calling. The only way to do this is to think about what makes you happy. Good luck and always remember you can only do your best – nobody expects anything more.About a month ago a lady called me and said that…

Hello, Connie Nichol here with an autumn themed card featuring Impression Obsession stamps along with a Tombow adhesives and Clearsnap ink.  The DCWV burlap is a MUST HAVE! It is super easy to work with and adds a home spun feel to any project. The Project The Products This rake and leaf die set is the cutest from Impression Obsession.   I love that there are multiple leaf dies in this set.  It makes it very fast to cut out a bunch of leaves in assorted fall colours. I used a Tombow glue pen to adhere the leaves and the rake to my card.  It’s very precise and easy to use and works perfectly for tiny or intricate die cuts. The Impression Obsession stamp set is called ‘Watch the Leaves’.   This is also a great quote to use on fall themed scrapbook layouts.I backed the stamped sentiment with burlap…
