Happy Tuesday! Kim here on the Creative Scrapbooker blog again, sharing a couple of projects I worked on this past weekend! I’m sure, if you are a bit like me, that every now and then you find some paper that makes you super happy! Well, when I came across Echo Park Paper Co. Little Lumberjack Collection, it made me squeal just a bit! I LOVE all the plaids, patterns and whimsical designs. They will honestly keep lumberjacks of all ages happy! I first created a simple layout. I layered a square of Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock to the plaid background. I don’t often work with exact measurements, instead I often just use intuition based all parts! I then cut 4 rectangles from papers in the collection, approximately 3.5 x 5. This became the main component to build upon, from this point it’s all fun and embellishment! I had fun layering the stickers,…
Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a scrapbook layout and a couple of cards created with Echo Park Paper Co.’s Halloween Town collection. I love scrapbooking photos from when my boys were little and cute. Now, as teenagers, they don’t dress up and go trick or treating any longer and I miss it. Ah well, at least I have memories. Here’s an image of the Halloween town collection – a great variety of Halloween colours and images – they are very versatile and very cute! Step by Step: I was in a triangular sort of mood, so I used a ruler and a pencil to quarter several sheets of patterned paper (just pencil a line from opposite corners and cut out your triangle). I stitched around the edges of each quarter with my Brother sewing machine. Machine stitching only takes a few minutes and it adds a nice touch to your…
Hello everyone! Kim here with a spotlight on Echo Park Paper Co.! I love being able to share my love of great companies with you here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine’s blog! Let’s do this! What you may not know is that Echo Park was founded in 2010. I was a bit surprised to learn that they are still a relatively new company, I feel that they have been around forever! That is a sign that they are doing it right! It’s a sign that they are providing quality products year after year and staying on top of the industry trends! Echo Park’s goal is simple – create easy to use crafting products while incorporating fun designs and bright colours! NAILED IT!!! Although this fun company started out creating papers, they have quickly expanded to albums, dies, stamps and stencils. There current catalogue features over 2000 products! I recently found…

Hello everyone, Kerry Engel here with one sketch – three different projects. This is a good sketch for a big or dominant photo that really tells your story. The curvy diagonal lines create movement and energy. Supplies: Creative Memories Cap and Gown Collection, Clearsnap ColorBox ink and embossing powder, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, Stampin’ Up! gold thread, Studio Calico brad. An old Colleague of mine posted her graduation photos on Facebook one day and I instantly had an urge to scrap them. The Cap and Gown collection from Creative Memories has several “2107” embellishments but it’s really a versatile collection. The colors work really well with vintage photos. I glammed it up a bit with gold embossing powder and shiny brads and thread. The papers held up well to mix media techniques. And the coordinating album is a really classy. Supplies: Donna Salazar for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Denim Art Journal and…
Hello CSM scrapbookers! Kim here, thanks for dropping by the blog to see what I have been up to! Last September; my hubby and I went to Scotland for a wonderful, two-week holiday. I am still in the process of culling through pictures and scrapbooking some of our adventures. The layout I am sharing today uses the gorgeous “transatlantic TRAVEL” collection by Carta Bella. The paper is such beautiful quality and the collection lent itself well to a travel location so rich in history and well…across the Atlantic Ocean! My layout uses patterned paper, journal cards [cut from a 12×12 sheet], stickers and a quote border all from the same collection. I have added a journaling insert behind the photo mat; this also allows an extra photo to be placed on the back of my journaling. I added a touch of water colour to the part of the map [Scotland/England]…
