What do you get when you mix Art Impressions Rubber Stamps with Simple Stories?!?!? A charming little card that makes you feel like spring! To create the card I cut a card front from a piece of pink striped patterned paper from the Simple Stories Bunnies & Bloom collection. I cut the same size card front from Ranger Simon Hurley Create Stark White cardstock. Using a Sizzix Framelits circle die, I cut out a circle window in the upper portion of both the card fronts – in the exact same spot. Using Glue Dots Adhesives Gluetape I adhered the two-card fronts together. This process made the pink stripe paper stronger so I could pop it up later. Next, cut out a piece of Prima Marketing white watercolor paper. Pop it into your Tonic Studios Tim Holtz Stamping Platform. Securing it into place. Stamp the Art Impressions floral stamp onto the…

Hello! Kim here with a quick card share using the Heartfelt Creations Summer’s Garden collection. For my card, I have used some patterned paper and the 2 craft die sets, shown in the photo below. These dies cut images found within the collection or can be used with coordinating stamps! The background of my card is cut from one sheet of patterned paper, to which I added some Therm-O-Web Transfer Gel Duo through a ‘well loved’ Stampers Anonymous stencil! I let the gel dry, then ran it through my laminator to apply some shimmery deco foil details. While the Transfer Gel Duo was drying I readied my elements for the card. I made my 3D flower, securing the layers with little snippets of my Elizabeth Craft Designs’ double-sided adhesive. I coloured my wooden sentiment [unknown supplier] with Ranger’s Distress Oxide Ink, Crackling Campfire was the perfect colour for my paper!…
Creating cards with background dies is my latest obsession. Speaking of OBSESSION – Impression Obsession has a variety of MUST HAVE background dies that are absolutely perfect for jazzing up your cards or being the star of the show! Here is the latest card I put together. First I cut out several of the Sunburst Background die from Impression Obsession using black cardstock. I adhered three of them together and let the third one peek slightly from behind so that it is blacker around the sun circle. I pulled out my Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Blender Brushes – these are a serious blending game changer. I used them to blend THREE of my favourite colours of Ranger Tim Holtz Distress ink onto a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock. These three colours look like a beautiful sunset! Using Art Glitter glue with a fine metal tip I adhered the…
Hello Creative Scrapbookers! Kim here! Have you ever thought about how you start a layout? Are you consistent or do you mix it up? I mix it up! Sometimes I love to start with a sketch or a particular photo may inspire me and sometimes I like to choose the product first. The project I’m sharing today was all about using my stash of Stampers Anonymous stamps! Please note…no patterned paper was harmed in the process! I pulled out a sheet of CSM Super Stock [primed with a thin layer of gesso] and brayered on some with some Distress Inks. I love the texture the brayer creates! I then removed some of the ink with a stencil and baby wipe.Next, I layered on some stamps of various patterns. This process of making a background is so fun and very relaxing. In the wise words of Seth Apter…if you don’t love…

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a couple of cards I created with the Ruffled Peony Bouquet stamp set from Picket Fence Studios. Picket Fence Studios is a family run business out of Louisiana and they manufacture some simply stunning stamps and stencils. Use the entire peony bouquet on the card, or snip out one or two flowers and some extra leaves. Ah, peonies. Makes me think of spring. I stamped onto watercolour paper using Ranger embossing ink and heat embossed with black embossing powder. I coloured the image with Nuvo watercolor pencils from Tonic Studios..I then added a touch of glitter and more intense colour with Kirarich glitter highlighters from Zebra Pen. These highlighter pens were just the perfect shade for my peony flowers and leaves. I used Tonic Studios Craft Perfect mirror and glitter cardstock from this mixed cardstock pack for my card base. I have a weakness…
I can’t stop playing with this A Tree Die from Picket Fence Studios. Here is a quick little card I put together using it. I started by die cutting out 3 trees from Ranger Simon Hurley Create cardstock. I adhered two of the trees together and coloured the third with Ranger Tim Holtz Distress ink. I then adhered the coloured tree on top of the two trees with some of the white showing behind. Next, I blended three shades of Ranger Tim Holtz Distress ink onto a piece of cardstock. I used my Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Blender Brushes for a perfect blend. Next, I layed the Funky Leaves stencil from Picket Fence Studios on the background and added some white Distress ink. The look is very soft and subtle. I spritzed with water cause I LOVE those white water dots! With my Ranger Dina Wakley Media acrylic paint…
Hello! Kim here with my layout share inspired by the January Sketchy Challenge! I LOVE when I complete the sketchy challenge in the same month it was posted…it feels like a little win! My husband and I were eating a meal that we ordered for curbside pickup and the bag everything was packaged in screamed to be recycled! My BIG title was actually cut from my bag ~ how fun is that? The rest was easy! I use Lightroom Mobile on my phone and iPad and let it do a task it does well…I searched for “food” photos! Once I picked the photos to use, I created a collage in the Project Life app, which made it easy to print! Diptic is another app I use for this task! I love my new Tonic Studios’ Guillotine cutter – it cut my little prints perfectly! It’s the perfect size for card…
