Deck the Halls with Christmas Sweaters by Cathy Caines The holiday season is upon us and I am in full swing. I am so ready for the magic of Christmas and all the simple joys it brings as I enjoy the wonder of the season through the eyes of my children Jane (7) and Jack (5). I am wishing you and your families the very best this holiday season โ€“ from my family to yours. About a month ago Stampinโ€™ Up! released their new line of alcohol markers called Stampinโ€™ Blends. Ever since the release, I have been coloring just about everything. However, the Stampinโ€™ Up! Christmas Sweaters stamp set is by far my favourite. The markers seem to bring the sweaters to life. Before making any projects, I coloured several of the images while catching up on The Americans TV show. Once I found myself back in my craft room,…

Hello everyone โ€“ Cathie Allan here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog playing with the Sunset pigment ink petal point collection from Clearsnap. Events โ€ฆ. I love events. I love watching everyone get together as friends to enjoy their hobbies, their passions. At a scrapbooking/papercrafting event the sharing of ideas is amazing. From the moment they unpack their tools and toys, sit down and begin creating the sharing begins. Everyone learns from each other and then there is the classes, the demos, the makeโ€™n takes that you can participate in to further the creative experience of the event at the Winnipeg, โ€œScrapchicksโ€ gone wild event, I taught two classes and did a makeโ€™n take in the booth where I taught a fun background technique and they created a Christmas tag using that technique. As I teach, I create with them so I ended up with a โ€œpileโ€ of tags…

Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans- Katelyn Grosart here today on the blog! Christmas is almost here and Iโ€™ve started to create some Christmas Cards. I usually don’t even think about creating Christmas cards until it’s too late and Christmas has passed, but this year, I’ve started early. Hopefully I will end up getting more created, but at least right now, I know I have two. I hope that my Christmas Cards will inspire you to recreate them for your loved ones and friends.ย  Using the Sugarplum Collection, Holly Decorative Punch and Poinsettia Punch from Creative Memories.ย As well as Fitted Circles die from Elizabeth Craft Designs and adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.ย Here are the Christmas cards that I created. For the December 25th Christmas card, I combined the Poinsettia punch, Holly Decorative Border Punch, Sugarplum Embellishments, Sugarplum Designer Paper Pack and the Sugarplum Variety Mat Pack all from Creative Memories, to create…

Hello! Noreen Smith here, and Iโ€™m very happy to be on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog today to share some Christmas projects using Creative Memoriesโ€™ Sugarplum Collection! This sweet collection features a Paper Pack, Stickers, Embellishments, coordinating Vellum Papers, a foiled Album cover and Fast2Fab Pre-printed Album pages! The designs are inspired by holiday candy, dรฉcor and classic Christmas icons, as well as whimsical, playful patterns that also make it perfect for birthdays, Winter, babies and more. Some might comment that at first glance the collection doesnโ€™t seem too Christmas-y as it features a lot of pastels. But of you remember that colors like pink and mint green are just tinted versions of the more traditional Christmas colors of red and green, youโ€™ll realize that they really are quite versatile! Since there were some cute candy and gingerbread house icons in the sticker pack, I used the collection to document our…

Hello Friends its Karan Gerber here with you today on the Creative Scrapbooker blog sharing a Christmas card with you using Heartfelt Creations paper, stamps and coordinating dies. What i love about the collections from Heartfelt Creations is how easy it is to create gorgeous cards by just adding a few die cut images. I am working with the papers from the Festive Holly Collection Stamps and dies also from the Festive Holly Collection and the small poinsettias are from Celebrate the Season Today I am using distress inks from Ranger and Zig Clean Color Brush Markers from Kuretake to color my images. Lets get started; stamp out your images on canson water color paper using Archival Coffee Ink. Begin to color with the zig makers. I used the following colors.Next die cut outtheย  above images, then stamp poinsettias from Celebrate the Season on canson watercolor paper using Archival Coffee…

Are you already thinking about Christmas cards? I sure am! In fact, I already have all the supplies ready to go to create the Creative Scrapbook Magazine handmade cards to mail to all our advertisers, store owners and team members! Each and every year at The Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnivals – my mom and dad – create our Christmas cards for us! ย I am so lucky. This year is no exception. When you attend our events, you will see them both scrapbooking away in the crop area creating hundreds of Christmas cards. YES I am very spoiled ๐Ÿ™‚ Cathie Allan This year the beautiful and extremely talented Cathie Allan will once again be teaching at both our events in Calgary and Edmonton. Her classes are PACKED with years of stamping and inking knowledge. ย Everything she creates starts with white cardstock. YEP – plain old white cardstock. She teaches you to…

Hey everyone, Nicole over at Nicole Wright Designs and I am sharing a creative challenge I faceโ€ฆ a simple clean card.ย  I always want to throw all my inks, stamps, die cuts, stencils and embellishments at them.ย  This card is so clean and basic thereโ€™s barely even a tutorial.ย  That is great if you want to make some quick holiday cards or gift tags.ย  Take the stress out of the holidays and keep it simple. The key to making these quick with a little bling are the Ranger Metal Foil Tape Sheets. I cut the Woodlands, Holiday Words Block and Holiday Words Script Thinlits with the Foil Sheets. Using the Magnetic Platorm for the Thinlits makes cutting easy as the dies wonโ€™t shift. 2. Simply position and stick the Woodlands Metal Foil Tree onto your cardstock. No glue required. Mount your treed layerย  with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam…

Today we are glad to welcome guest blogger Vicki Wizniuk from British Columbia, Canada to share some Close to my Heart goodness! I am so excited to share with all of you some fabulous quick cards I created using just some of new products just released this month from Close To My Heart! I got to play with their new Thin Cuts dies, as well as papers from their new Rustic Home Fundamentals. And I canโ€™t forget to mention that they have a new Color of the Year, this year it is Sea Glass! All of these items truly make my heart happy. โ™ฅ Hereโ€™s a better look at the cards individuallyโ€ฆ I seriously love those cards.ย  But I canโ€™t let you go that quicklyโ€ฆ I have one more beauty of a project using basically the same supplies, but I added a few additional items. ย I made this lovely…
