Thanksgiving Scrapbook Card with Nicole Wright

Are you ready for Thanksgiving? I am… Nicole here and I am excited to be on Creative Scrapbooker Magazine today with this easy Thanksgiving card. Using Ranger distress oxide inks are easy and fun to create with. I have found that I truly need the entire collection 🙂 Step by Steps Here are the easy to follow step by steps for you to create this super easy card just in time for our Canadian Thanksgiving. Assemble the cardstock and fall colours of the Ranger distress oxide inks. Layour your stencil on a non stick crafting mat and direclty stamp the distress ink onto the stencil. Spray the stencil slightly with water. Flip the inked stencil directly onto the heavey weight Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Super Stock and lift. While that is drying it’s a good time to die cut out the word Thanksgiving using a Sizzix die out of Paper Leather. Next…

Bible Art Journaling – #RememberingChristy

The Summer 2016 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine featured one of my favourite Bible Art Journaling pages designed by Christy Riopel. The title of the art journal page was “Be Strong and Courageous”. The page was filled with bright colours of ink and layers of stenciling and stickers. A beautiful art journal page that makes me smile each and every time I turn through the pages of our Summer 2016 issue. The Bible Art Journal Page SUPPLIES: Ranger clear gesso, gel medium, distress inks and distress crayons, Bo Bunny stickers, stencils and stamps. Basic Step By Steps Prep your page by using a brayer to apply a thin layer of clear gesso. This lets you see the words on the page, but stops any wet mediums you put on top from soaking through the page. Take a Ranger distress ink pad, and rub it directly onto the page. Don’t worry…

Give Thanks Altered Frame with Katelyn Grosart

Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! It’s hard to believe that Fall is now here and the leaves have started to turn. With Fall here, it means that Thanksgiving is just around the corner. So with that in mind, I decided to create a Fall themed project. By using the Fall is in the Air Collection from Echo Park Paper, an Oval die from Elizabeth Craft Designs, some adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L as well as a few products from Ranger Ink, I was able to create my “Give Thanks” Altered Frame. Make sure to grab your favourite Fall beverage as I share with you below how to recreate this altered frame in the comfort of your own home.To start, you’ll need an oval frame in any colour of your choice except white. Hi everyone. Karen Ellis here. Today is my day on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog to share with you something that I’ve been working on.This weekend my mind, like so many of us, was on Hurricane Irma and the disaster she left in her wake in the Caribbean and the state of Florida. As a survivor of a natural disaster myself (lost my home in a F4 tornado), I know what it is like to lose everything (including friends and neighbours) and what it means to rebuild. I know you all will join me in wishing the survivors the very best, a fast recovery and a quick rebuild from the devastation of Hurricane Irma. Classic Sunflower Collection – Card Making

Hello Friends and welcome to the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog today. My name is Karan Gerber and I am thrilled to be here with you today sharing my first post. School for many started back this past week and with that, I am reminded that fall is right around the corner. What I most love about fall is the cooler temps; harvest season and the bright bold colors of the gorgeous Sunflower. Did you know that Sunflowers symbolize adoration, loyalty and longevity? I LOVE this layout Christy Riopel designed for the Fall 2016 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. That beautiful background was created with Ranger Dylusions spray ink and paper towels! HOW COOL! Frugal Scrapbooker In every issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine our Frugal Scrapbooker Connie Nichol shares tips and tricks for keepping your scrapbooking budget from exploding. (this can happen :)) In the Fall 2016 issue, Connie shared tips for using scrapbook supplies from your kitchen. Everything from saran wrap, to cheesecloth, to pop can tabs. LOVE IT! Some of you may think it’s silly to do a CSM Spotlight on Ranger Ink, after all ‘everyone’ knows who they are and what they do. While those of us who have been stamping, playing with mixed media or who have worked in the industry for some time, no doubt know who Ranger Ink is, we really do want to introduce these wonderful products to crafters of ALL levels! Beautiful Butterfly Card

Hello everyone – Tracy McLennon here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog sharing this beautiful butterfly card I designed using some of my favourite products from Stampin’ Up!, Ranger, Chameleon Color Tone pens and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. I used watercolour paper and Tim Holtz for Ranger Distress Oxide Inks to create this rust like background. To do this you need a non stick craft mat. Stamp the ink directly onto the craft mat, spray with water and mix with your fingers. Then dip the paper into the ink/water mixture. Dry with a heat gun. Then do the same with the next colour of ink. Dry again with a heat gun. Do the same with the third colour of ink. You can continue this process until you get the coverage you desire.I stamped this beautiful Stampin’ Up! butterfly image on white cardstock using Early Espresso Stampin’ Up! dye ink.…

Dream Card Designed by Katelyn Grosart

Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans – Katelyn Grosart here today! I hope that you’re having a fabulous Summer so far. Dream Card Using the Serendipity Collection from BoBunny, some adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, a die from Elizabeth Craft Designs as well as a few products from Ranger Ink, I was able to create my Dream card. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage as I show you how to recreate this card in the comforts of your own home. Building the Card From the Serendipity paper by BoBunny, cut a piece that measures 4 1/4” x 6 1/4”. Using the 3” Stitched Rectangle die from Elizabeth Craft Designs, cut a stitched rectangle from the same piece of patterned paper. Distress the edges of both pieces of papers using an edge distressor. Ink the edges of the patterned paper pieces using a blending with foam and Vintage…
