I love making these types of cards because it allows me to get my photos off of my phone or my computer and share them by displaying some of my favorites in my home. 6X6 Rubber Stamps for the Win! with Cathie Allan

Hello everyone! Cathie Allan here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Creating a “notecard” to remember is so easy when you have a great 6X6 background stamp. Impression Obsession’s collection of 6X6, red rubber (for that perfect image) rubber stamps is massive. With over 280, deeply etched, full of amazing detail, 6X6 rubber stamps to choose from you will be in “stamp heaven” for a long, long time. Wow, I can’t believe that August is upon us. 2020 has certainly been a wild ride especially in our household with a new baby. Claire is now six months old and we are resuming some of our pre-COVID activities. I’ve also started getting into a better habit of making time for me in the craft room. When the Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 new annual catalogue was released in June, I ordered some new 12×12 Rainbow Glimmer Paper. I mean… I am obsessed. But it’s the type of product that I would tend to “hoard”. Almost like it was too precious to cut up! Not today. Well okay. Just the one sheet. But I did it. I cut it up! Game On with Cathy Caines

Hey everyone! Cathy Caines here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog! I had so much fun putting this project together for you this month. I was completely inspired by the new Stampin’ Up! Game On stamp set. My family are ‘gamers’ so I knew that this stamp set was going to be a huge hit in my world. While none of us play chest anymore, I couldn’t help but create with the chest pieces first. It was very evident to me that the background of this card should resemble a game board. The Stampin’ Up! Stitched Shapes framelits has a one-inch square that brings this idea to life. We do play Yahtzee and Monopoly, and well, many games with dice. It could work for any age group. Do Everything With Love Tag with Katelyn Grosart

Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! For today’s blog post, I’m sharing with you my Do Everything With Love Tag. To create my tag, I’ve used a variety of dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs, patterned paper from Simple Stories, a variety of products from Ranger Ink, and adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my tag at home. To start, you’ll need a tag that measures 3 1/8” x 6 ¼”. Select a piece of patterned paper out of the 6×8 Paper Pad – Simple Vintage Garden District from Simple Stories. Trace the tag around the piece of patterned paper. Cut the tag out. Punch a hole at the top of the patterned paper tag. Ink the edges of the tag using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Ink the edges…

Picket Fence Studios – The Hen House and Tracy McLennon

Hello crafty friends! Tracy McLennon here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Today I have such a fun little card to share featuring a cute little stamp set from Picket Fence Studios and coordinating dies. I also used some of my favourite Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L products and Ranger inks. I started by creating a simple blended background for my card using white cardstock, a Ranger blending tool & mat, and Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks. I was going for a moody sunset kind of backdrop. To add a slightly distressed border I stamped the Ranger Tim Holtz Early Espresso Distress Oxide ink onto my mat, misted it with water, and then drug the edges of the blended background through it. Let dry. This is also when I stamped the card sentiment in the bottom left-hand corner of the card using Ranger Archival ink. I stamped the super cute…

Picket Fence Meets Brother ScanNCut

Hello everyone! Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Blog! I’ve been looking at stamps differently lately. I like to see if there are ways that I can deconstruct the different design elements so that I can cut it apart and create layers. The Beauty and Song stamp by Picket Fence Studios is a stamp that has a lot of opportunities to go a bit crazy with layers. Here’s how I put this one together. Step 1. Stamp the image on cardstock and use the Brother ScanNCut to precisely cut the stamped image from the cardstock. TIP: This stamp has some open ends. The Brother ScanNCut scans the outside edge and requires a black edge. The opened-ended leaves on this stamp needed to be closed in. The Brother ScanNCut did an amazing job of cutting out this complex stamp. I was suitably impressed with how it cut perfectly…

SPA DAY! At home!!!! I found this super cute project Kim Gowdy designed from 2017 featuring Art Impressions and I just had to re-share. How wonderful would these be to receive in the mail! You Make Me a Happy Camper with Annette Allen

The very talented, Annette Allen, designed this gorgeous card featuring Pink & Main! It is so stinking cute! Here are her directions just for you!!!! Die cut the Holiday Scene on white card stock. You will not need all the pieces. I left out all the Christmas dies to create a camp scene instead. Die cut the designer paper on the background die and adhered to the base as the background scene. Now it is time to adhere your 3D card together so you can build your scene. Stamp the sentiment on white card-stock. Die cut your images using the coordinating die set. Stamp your sentiment on a separate piece of white card-stock and die cut using the sentiment strip dies. Die cut all sizes of the trees from the Holiday Scene die set multiple times.
