Hi crafters, Nicole here from Nicole Wright Designs and I have a fun DIY Tutorial on Journaling with your Sizzix dies.Β Follow me through the process and try some of these fun techniques on your next project! Night Dreamer is my newest pages in my first art journal. Β I know I keep saying how much I am enjoying journaling because it’s true! It all started with my pages I gessoed black. Β At first this was a great idea, then I felt it was a bad idea… then I went with it and I was beyond happy with it. After the pages were painted all black I went back over with white gesso to create a hill effect and road Colouring with various Ranger green distress crayons for shading and lighting. Β The sky has shades of blue and violet. The cityscape is inked with Ranger Distress Oxide ink and run through myΒ Creative…
How you Beanβ¦ Nicole here and I am sharing my Art Journal pages in my 115 year old book!Β ACKβ¦ I know itβs old but it is so much fun.Β Not everything I get in the mail is something I would normally create with. Β That doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy the challenge of making this my own style. Β It creatively opens my mind up and pushes my limits. I picked this pretty spring paper Lawn FawnΒ Perfectly Plaid Rainbow Petite PaperΒ pack. Β I do love plaid. Β I stamped on the pattern paper and wait for it… fussy cut. All those jelly’s stamped and yes, more fussy cutting. Β I wanted to layer and stack the jars. Β Trimming the beans so they spill the way the jars tilt. ACK… trying the new RangerΒ Distress Oxide InkΒ by watercoloring the jelly’s. Β Love them!!! Β Time to make this easy and myΒ XyronΒ Create a StickerΒ to adhere all these jelly…
Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans!Β With Easter right around the corner, I thought I would share with you today an Easter card for that special someone in your life.Β Using the Butterfly Kisses Collection fromΒ Bo Bunny, a variety of dies fromΒ Elizabeth Craft Designs, stamps, stones and embossing powder from Emerald Creek Craft Supplies and a variety of products fromΒ Ranger Ink, I was able to create this beautiful Easter card. Youβll want to make sure to grab a cup of your favourite beverage, as I will show you how to recreate this project in the comforts of your own home. Using the Gatefold β Elegant Rose die from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut the gatefold out of Tutu Double Dot from Bo Bunny. With the gatefold cut out, trim two pieces out that measure 2β x 1 ΒΎβ. Apply Emboss It Ink from Ranger Ink to both pieces. Once the ink is…
Hello Everyone! Corina Finley here with you today to share my βSimple Pleasuresβ Coffee themed layout featuring Heartfelt Creations and Southern Ridge Trading Co. chipboard. I created this page to capture my Sunday morning ritual. On Sundays, my oldest son brings me my first cup of coffee of the day in bed! I get to start my day by laying back and relaxing with my dog Kuma. He thinks that the king size bed really belongs to him and sleeps whichever direction he wants! I like to start my projects by collecting the supplies that I think I will need from around my studio and having them on my work surface.Β I do still have to grab other items as my design idea changes but I find by doing this it cut back on getting distracted. I chose to use Bazzill Java cardstock and the Coffee Bean Pattern Paper from…
May All Your Dreams Come True Card with Katelyn Grosart Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! Today I thought that I would share with you a theme of card that doesnβt get made or sent a lot.Β Sending a card for someone who has accomplished a dream of theirs is uncommon, but why not send a card to congratulate them for achieving it. Using the Winter Wishes Collection fromΒ Bo Bunny, a variety of dies fromΒ Elizabeth Craft Designs and pairing them up with a variety of products fromΒ Ranger Ink, I was able to create this beautiful βMay All Your Dreams Come Trueβ card. Youβll want to make sure to grab a cup of your favourite beverage as I will show you how to recreate this project in the comforts of your own home. Using the Bunch of Flowers 3 die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut five of the small flowers, five…
Wouldn’t we all like one of these sitting on the table. What a pretty specimen this would make. Today I am sharing a tutorial forΒ SizzixΒ using theΒ Flower Garden and Mini Bouquet. Β You can get the Framelits to go with theΒ Mini BouquetΒ andΒ Flower GardenΒ Stamps. Β No fussy cutting! Β Well I was going through my “Library” of dies looking for theΒ ApothecaryΒ die and I found theΒ Bell Jar w/PedestalΒ first…so it wins! The best part about these stamps… no cutting! Β Stamp and line up the Framelit. Β Every flower needs a butterfly and theΒ Butterfly Duo w/Texture FadeΒ is exceptional. TheΒ Magrnetic PlatformΒ is essential for the Framelits and Thinlits. Β It helps to use a little washi to hold the famelits in place so it won’t shift. Β Plastic packaging is perfect for the Bell Jar glass portion. I used the new Mixed Media #8 Distress Tags with theΒ Flourish Texture Fade. Β Once the tag is embossed I covered the tag with gesso. Β While that…
Being asked to join Jackie at Rangerβs CHA media release was pretty exciting until my alarm went off so early that morning. Tired eyes were soon open with excitement at all the fabulous new releases being shared at Rangerβs booth. They had four stations set up, and we got to spend about 20 minutes at each one with Rangerβs Signature Designers; Tim Holtz, Dina Wakley, Dyan Reaveley and Susan Lenart Kazmerβ¦pretty easy to get just a tad star struck! Each proved to be down to earth and all had a wonderful sense of humourβ¦made you love them that much more! First up was Tim Holtz. Lots of buzz at his table with the release of his Oxide Ink Pads, new Distress Crayons sets, Crayon Tin storage, 1 oz. size of Collage Medium, storage jars and Woodgrain Cardstock. The new Oxide Ink Pads are the next generation of Distress Inks, combining…
Feeling Rusty by Kerry Engel This page looks like it should weigh about 3 pounds. But it doesnβt. Those gears – they are totally fake. What would take nature about 5 years to accomplish I created in roughly 20 minutes, with a little help from Pentart Rust Effects distributed by Bo Bunny The gears were cut using a Tim Holtz die cut from Sizzix. I covered them in Ranger black gesso and pressed the Rust Effect powder distributed by Bo Bunny into the wet gesso. Then I added the Rust Effect Reagent from Pentart distributed by Bo Bunny on top and brushed it around with an old paintbrush.Β Once dry I covered in the Pentart Varnish. I thought that would seal in the rust shavings. The gears remain pliable and very light weight. They look very realistic and give my page some lovely texture. Β I think Iβll do this on…
Hi everyone,Kim here ? Thanks for checking into the CSM blog today. I just wanted to share this monthβs sketch, designed by Kelly Klapstein. This monthβs sketch was designed with card making in mind, βtis the season of making, giving and receiving cards! Itβs a great sketch! I however used it as a starting point for a layout. Thatβs is the cool thing about sketchesβ¦they are simply a starting point for creativity. I used Close to My Heartβs βCity Sidewalkβ collection. I ADORE everything about this collection, itβs full of fun, whimsical papers, die cuts and glittery accents and also has a corresponding Cricut cartridge to keep the fun going strong! I decided to make a gift card holder while I had all this fun product out, Iβll need a few more before December 25th! As you can see, I did not follow the sketch for the cardβ¦but plan to…
